AmeriCorps National Direct Consultation
The Corporation expects State Commissions and multi-state grantees to consult and coordinate activities at the local level, as specified in Section 131 of the National Community Service Act (NCSA). This consultation is designed to ensure the most effective use of national service resources and lead to enhanced coordination among AmeriCorps programs. After all National Direct applications have been submitted, the Corporation will solicit State Commission input on National Direct applicants proposing to operate in their state.
OneStar is always excited to learn of organizations proposing to place AmeriCorps members in Texas!
National Direct Consultation Process | 2021-2022
OneStar utilizes America's Service Commissions online National Direct Consultation single form to initiate and streamline consultation between multi-state applicants and state service commissions. Information on this process can be found here.
By completing the online form found here, multi-state applicants will initiate consultation for those participating states. Click here for a pdf of the form for your reference.
Multi-state applicants should submit the online form no later than the FY21 AmeriCorps application deadline set by the Corporation for National and Community Service, January 6, 2021. For more information regarding consultation requirements review the FY21 AmeriCorps NOFO on the CNCS website.
