Meet the ONE OF A KIND luncheon panel…

Dr. Michael Tidwell 

President, University of Texas at Tyler 

Dr. Michael Tidwell began serving as the fourth president of The University of Texas at Tyler on Jan. 1, 2017. His distinguished career includes 16 years as an administrator and professor at universities around the nation and abroad. Dr. Tidwell has been a management and research consultant for business leaders seeking to resolve critical human resource issues since 2003. During his career, he has been published in various scholarly journals and has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences. His recent research efforts have focused on managing business relationships across international boundaries. Dr. Tidwell and his wife, Karen, have two children, Cyrus and Bradley.

Rocky Gill  

Express Employment Professionals

Rocky and his wife, Carrie, have been invested in the Tyler community for many years.  Rocky graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He started out working for Squyres, Johnson, Squyres & Co. and moved to East Texas Medical Center where he served as Corporate Controller. He left ETMC to open the Tyler franchise of Express in 1995. The Gills have served on the boards of various organizations in Tyler including Junior Achievement, Children's Village, Rose City Kiwanis, Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, Tyler YMCA, Tyler Economic Development Council, Workforce Solutions East Texas, ETMC Foundation, ETMC Regional Healthcare System and United Way of Tyler/Smith County. Most recently, their charitable focus has focused on orphaned children through their service with Hope For 100, a program initiated by their church in which more than 225 children have been placed into Christian homes.

Shannon Dacus 

Trial Attorney, The Dacus Firm, P.C. 

Shannon is the President and Partner at the Dacus Firm where she practices law with her husband. Her law practice covers all areas of business litigation and is a certified woman-owned and minority-owned business. She is currently the Board of Directors Chair of Tyler Economic Development Council, past chair, Board of Directors/ Past Chair of Leadership Tyler, the Women's Fund of Smith County Advisory Director, and Catalyst 100 member. She have two children – Mason and Sydney.  Mason is a sophomore at Cornell University and Sydney is a senior at Bishop Gorman High School.     

Claude Henry

President – Tyler MArket, Texas Bank & Trust

Claude Henry is the president of the Tyler market for Texas Bank and Trust.  He currently serves on the board of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce and is the immediate past chairman.  He is also on the boards of the Tyler Economic Development Council, Salvation Army of Tyler, and Greater Texas Capital Corp where he serves as vice-chair.  Additionally, Claude is the immediate past chair of the TJC Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament Advisory Committee. Claude and his wife, Julie, moved to Tyler in 2010 after Claude had a 26 year banking career in Waco, Texas. Claude was a participant in the 2011 Leadership Tyler Executive Orientation Series. He is a member of the South Tyler Rotary club and he and Julie attend Marvin United Methodist Church.  They have four adult children and their first grandchild is on the way.

Pat Stacey 

KLTV, General Manager- Panel Emcee

Originally from Dallas, Pat went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX.  After graduation, he started at KLTV and has been there for 31 years. He has held positions technical, marketing, sales and is now the General Manager.  

He has been married to his wife Stephanie for 27 years and have 2 college age children Audrie, 21 and Benjamin, 18 and are members at Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
