Texas Association of Volunteer Centers

The Texas Association of Volunteer Centers (TAVC) is a network of Volunteer Centers and partners through which members provide mutual support, education, and advocacy for the benefit of statewide volunteerism. Membership in TAVC is open to all Volunteer Centers in Texas and all satellite Directors or other staff as deemed needed or appropriate by the Board.

Through support from a Volunteer Generation Fund grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service, TAVC members have benefitted from:

  • Three in-person meetings annually to discuss emerging issues in volunteerism, problem solve and share best practices
  • Participation in leadership development training
  • Opportunities to take the Core Capacity Assessment Tool evaluating organizational strengths and weaknesses
  • Capacity building consulting, training and technical assistance
