AmeriCorps Texas offers a variety of ways for you to make a tangible, difference in your local community with short- and long-term opportunities to serve. Members engage in a diverse range of service projects at organizations throughout Texas to address needs in disaster services, economic opportunity, education, healthy futures, environmental stewardship and veterans and military families.
Benefits
AmeriCorps Texas members may receive:
- Monthly living stipend
- Education award, up to $6,095 (depending on duration of service)
- Healthcare coverage (if eligible)
- Childcare coverage (if eligible)

Eligibility
To serve as an AmeriCorps Texas member, you must:
- Be 17 years or older (no upper age limit)
- Pass a national service criminal history check
- Hold one of the following citizenship statuses: US citizen, US National, Lawful Permanent Resident Aliens
