Beyond Volunteer Weekend: Ways to Build Capacity Working with Universities

Robbie Robichau, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the department of Public Service and Administration at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University. She is a fellow of the Center for Nonprofits & Philanthropy. Her PhD is in Public Administration and Policy with a nonprofit leadership and management certificate from Arizona State University. Her research examines issues of nonprofit management and accountability, capacity and evaluation, and meaningfulness in public service work. Robbie’s research addresses experiences of nonprofit managers and front-line workers, their interactions with clients, and desire to improve social outcomes. Her work has been published in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Nonprofit Management and Leadership, American Review of Public Administration and various other journals. Throughout her career, Robbie has engaged extensively with the community, especially regarding child welfare services. She volunteers and serves on numerous boards.
