DESCRIPTION:Cybersecurity can sometimes feel a little…scary. That’s where tabletop exercises come in! Tabletops are scenario-based discussions that help organizations explore “what if” situations and understand the potential impact of different types of cyber threats. \nThis spooky season\, join cybersecurity experts Destiny Bowers of RoundTable Technology and Joshua Peskay of Meet the Moment for an interactive webinar filled with stories\, strategies\, and a few (friendly) frights to keep your organization safe. \nTogether\, we’ll explore how tabletop exercises can help organizations move from reactive to proactive\, giving teams the opportunity to practice responding to realistic scenarios in a low-risk environment before they become real-world challenges. \nDuring this session\, you’ll learn: \n\nWhat tabletop exercises are\, how to conduct them\, and why they help\nHow to spot potential risks before they cause real problems\nSimple methods to turn tabletop exercises into a step-by-step cybersecurity plan\n\nWho should attend: This session is designed for nonprofit leaders and staff who play a role in managing organizational risk\, operations\, technology\, communications\, or business continuity\, including executive directors and CEOs\, senior leadership teams\, operations and administration staff\, technology and IT professionals\, and HR professionals. \nDesigned with Nonprofits in Mind \nWe know your team already wears a lot of hats. This webinar is designed to keep things approachable\, light\, and useful\, with clear takeaways you can put into practice right away. Think of it as a flashlight guiding you through the “haunted house” of cybersecurity–helping you see what’s ahead\, steer clear of surprises\, and move forward with confidence. \nThis virtual session is free and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:This interactive class provides turnkey frameworks and methods for communicating and interacting as a leader in ways that enable clarity\, performance\, and engagement. Leaders turn plans into reality by effectively knowing how to convey what they need from others in empowering ways that get everyone onto the team and into aligned action. Different situations call for different forms of interaction – is the objective of the conversation relationship\, alignment\, agreement\, problem-solving\, or binding action? We also examine the pros and cons of different communication mediums in leadership interactions (as opposed to administrative ones): explosive emails or convincing conversations. Size up your stakeholder\, the situation\, and the self-interests- then select the right approach. You will move to results quickly with a minimum of misunderstanding. What leader doesn’t want a lot more of that?\nObjectives:\nLearn to effectively assess what any given communication moment requires in order to select the most effective method to reach alignment and action with others.\nAcquire practical tools and methods that can be used impactfully and reliably to engage others across a variety of common scenarios that leaders find themselves in.\nEngage in peer practice and learning to build skills and also share support and encouragement as we find ways to take on the many tricky moments that leaders are faced with together\nWho should attend: Nonprofit Management Program participants\, first-time managers and coordinators\, individuals moving from individual performer/subject matter expert roles to group leader roles\, and experienced leaders looking for a fresh perspective to tune up their personal toolset.\nREGISTER HERE
