Imagine Art will have 13 FT and 4 HT AmeriCorps members who will provide job readiness training and support to artists with disabilities in Austin, Texas. At the end of the third program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for job readiness training of 55 artists with disabilities who are producing cohesive bodies of work in preparation to access professional opportunities such as exhibits or arts-related employment and micro-business. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 45 volunteers who will be engaged in teaching and mentoring roles that provide long-term support and sustainability for artists engaged in the program. This program will focus on the AmeriCorps focus area of Economic Opportunity. The AmeriCorps investment of $270,000 will be matched with $103,805 in local and private funding, for a total budget of $373,805.
