Megan Maldonado serves as the Program Manager for the Rebuild Texas Fund, overseeing on-going disaster philanthropy efforts at the OneStar Foundation. In this role, Megan works with communities impacted by disasters administering grants to local organizations assisting Texans in rebuilding their lives. Prior to joining OneStar, Megan worked as a member of the Rebuild Texas Fund team while it was housed at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and as a Policy Analyst at the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission. Megan spent two years as a Research Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin’s Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources studying poverty alleviation through the lens of education and workforce development. Prior to her graduate studies, Megan served as the Reading Clerk for the Texas House of Representatives during the 85th Legislative Session and as Program Support Specialist for a summer leadership and college readiness program called Subiendo: The Academy for Rising Leaders. Megan is a native Texan from Houston. She holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs and a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and International Relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
