About the Program

The WTAMU Panhandle Community Resilience Corps will have 78 AmeriCorps members who will provide capacity building services for local education, nonprofit, and government organizations in rural and under-resourced communities and neighborhoods across the upper 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for building organizational capacity by increasing the effectiveness, efficiency, and/or program scale and reach of 36 host site organizations. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 35 volunteers who will be engaged in capacity building activities and community service projects that will address the region’s most pressing needs and challenges. The AmeriCorps investment will be matched with $270,742, $0 in public funding and $270,742 in private funding.
