The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) will have 180 AmeriCorps members who will assist high school senior students with the college enrollment process into post-secondary education and will be operating in 20 sites across Brownsville, TX; San Benito, TX; Los Fresnos, TX; McAllen, TX; and Edinburg, TX. AmeriCorps members will assist approximately 2,925 students with enrollment in a four- year university or a two-year college. In addition, AmeriCorps members will leverage 50 volunteers who will be engaged in assisting students with the college enrollment process’ during FASFA Drives.
