Older adult volunteers bring a lifetime of experience, passion, and enthusiasm to your student success programs, but they may also have unique needs. In this session we’ll discuss advocating for older adult volunteers, and the outsized impact they can have on an organization. We’ll also cover some of the ways we can support volunteers through designing training with older adults in mind, involving them in decision-making, and offering flexible opportunities when in-person volunteering is challenging.
