Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas will have 36 AmeriCorps members who will deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) educational programming in various locations in the Northeast Texas region (locations will include the STEM Center of Excellence; 3 GSNETX service centers; partner schools/nonprofit organizations in Dallas, Tyler, and Longview, TX; and through virtual program delivery when appropriate with members serving at GSNETX service centers named above. At the end of the program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for providing educational services to 2,500 students. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 100 community episodic volunteers who will be engaged in delivering GSLE programs and completing mentoring assignments to help students develop essential life skills and confidence while achieving stated outcomes. The AmeriCorps investment will be matched with $194,004, $0 in public funding, and $194,004 in private funding.
