Donate now to support the families and communities affected by the Panhandle and South Plains wildfires in February 2024. The Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund is administered locally by Amarillo Area Foundation.

Teach For America — Texas proposes to have 527 AmeriCorps members who teach for two years in low-income and under-resourced schools in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley. AmeriCorps members will be responsible for increasing the academic achievement of the over 32,000 students they teach. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 500 volunteers who will be engaged in supporting students in classrooms and schools.
