Alec Corral is the Community & Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA Leader, supporting the OneStar AmeriCorps VISTA Project team and mentoring fellow VISTAs as they complete their service terms. Alec received a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and TESOL Certification and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with a minor in Translation from the University of Texas at El Paso. After graduation Alec served as a Community Engagement AmeriCorps VISTA with the Young Women’s Preparatory Network. Alec enjoyed working as AmeriCorps VISTA so much that they decided to re-enroll as a VISTA Leader. Alec hopes to provide guidance and support for incoming VISTAs and their projects. In their off-time Alec enjoys watching Asian dramas, learning new languages, and spending time with Cappuccino, their Siamese.
