Marlene S. McMichael of Georgetown currently co-hosts a radio talk show on The Bridge Austin. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas State University and earned a Certified Public Manager designation from the William P. Hobby Center for Public Service. McMichael spent many years as a government affairs specialist in Austin and Washington representing both private and public entities. In March of 2022, she retired as Associate Vice Chancellor for Government Affairs at Texas State Technical College, the state’s only two-year technical college boosting 10 campuses across Texas.
Additionally, McMichael has served on many city, county, and philanthropic non-profit boards in Austin, Georgetown, and Killeen – to include tenures as the Chairman of the Board for the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, President of the Board for the Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center, and Chairman of the Board for the Williamson County & Cities Health District during the recent COVID pandemic. She still serves as Chairman of the Georgetown Village Public Improvement District.
