Veronica Mozzo-Wirr is the Manager, Volunteer Texas, where she oversees OneStar’s efforts to promote statewide volunteerism and civic engagement. Prior to joining OneStar, Veronica spent seven years working in healthcare advocacy and nonprofit management at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, a Manhattan social service provider. As a Health Care Manager, she increased health insurance accessibility and oversaw program implementation, development, and evaluation. After living in Yonkers, New York all her life and moving to Texas in 2021, Veronica felt compelled to become a part of her new community by volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the Dallas foster care system. This led her to the Volunteer Texas program at OneStar, which strengthens pathways for nonprofits to access and support volunteers. Veronica obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology from Hunter College and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College in NYC. She lives in Dallas with her husband where she enjoys crafting, dancing, and spending time outdoors with her dogs, Scout and Ziggy.
