West Texas Rural Philanthropy Days 2026

Grant funding from private and public sources to local nonprofits can be instrumental to the health and well-being of rural communities. But to be successful at grant seeking, nonprofits need to build relationships with funders and understand the grants process, which are particular challenges when both funders and nonprofit education centers are so far away.

WTXRPD meets these challenges by bringing both funders and education to a rural region to:

  • Connect rural West Texas nonprofits with foundations and government agencies with similar interests.
  • Build relationships among funders, nonprofits, and public officials.
  • Educate funders about needs and services in rural West Texas.

The event is designed, organized, funded, and planned by community leaders from West Texas. It provides rural nonprofits with access to funding sources, opportunities for collaboration, and capacity-building services to more effectively meet the needs of rural West Texas communities.

Grantseekers, grantmakers, representatives of public agencies, and elected officials can explore new partnerships that lead to mutual understanding, successful grant proposals, and more financial resources for rural West Texas.

North Texas Giving Day 2026

North Texas Giving Day is Communities Foundation of Texas’ largest community initiative, and the largest community-wide giving event in the Nation.

In 2025, more than 100,000 North Texans gave $78 million to over 3,500 local nonprofits, representing causes from education, health, and social services, to arts, the environment, and animal welfare. The total raised since North Texas Giving Day’s inception is now $712 million, cementing the community’s long-standing dedication to making a difference in support of thousands of nonprofits across the region.

Now in its 18th year, NorthTexasGivingDay.org continues to expand as a one-stop shop for supporting our local community every day of the year through cause campaigns, matching fundraisers, corporate and group giving events, and nonprofit-led fundraising efforts.

Thanks to help from generous givers and sponsors, Communities Foundation of Texas covers all transaction and technology fees, ensuring 100% of each donation made on the site goes to nonprofits in more than 25 cause areas across 20 North Texas counties, all year long.
