Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund
Donate now to support the families and communities affected by the Panhandle and South Plains wildfires in February 2024. The Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund is administered locally by Amarillo Area Foundation.
The Crabapple Fire Relief Fund was established by the Rebuild Texas Fund on March 16, 2025, in response to the devastating Crabapple wildfire that scorched more than 9,800 acres in Gillespie County. The fund was created to provide a rapid, trusted way for generous Texans to support immediate relief and recovery efforts in the Fredericksburg area. With over $85,700 in donations, the fund reflects the outpouring of compassion and solidarity from individuals and organizations across the state.
To ensure the most effective use of these funds, OneStar has transferred stewardship of the Crabapple Fire Relief Fund to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country as of April 2025. With deep roots in the region and trusted relationships in Gillespie County, the Community Foundation is uniquely positioned to lead a local, community-driven approach to recovery. An Advisory Committee of local leaders will guide funding decisions, ensuring that resources reach those who need them most—swiftly, transparently, and with care.
