Back to Basics Workshop Series

In this workshop series you’ll have the opportunity to take a look at the foundation pieces for volunteer engagement in your organization. We’ll explore what work is currently being done by volunteers, and what work could, or should, be done by volunteers. And, we’ll discuss how policies and expectations for how volunteers, paid staff, and clients interact can create an environment that supports and celebrates that work.

Once we know what work volunteers are going to do, we need to create a framework for how those volunteers will work with paid staff, clients, and each other. In this workshop we’ll explore the policies, procedures, and codes of conduct that help volunteers and those that work with them to collaborate, communicate, and solve conflicts effectively.
