Cristina Flores serves as one of the Program Officers for the AmeriCorps Texas team. Before to joining OneStar, she worked as the Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator at Literacy First, where she was responsible for conducting targeted outreach, leading retention initaitives, social media marketing, and onboarding up to 100 AmeriCorps members annually. Prior to this, Cristina also served as an AmeriCorps member with the organization for three years, fulfilling the roles of bilingual early literacy tutor, team lead, and capacity building member, in which she supported recruitment and helped build sustainable systems for a program that doubled in size in one year. Cristina graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Vocal Performance and Mass Communications. As an AmeriCorps alum, she has a passion for national service and is excited to be on the OneStar team to support grantees. When she is not working, Cristina enjoys breakfast tacos, volunteering, singing opera, and spending time with her maltese, Panchito.
