Texas Rural Nonprofit Network

Strengthening rural communities through nonprofit development

Texas nonprofits play an important role in building thriving rural communities.

Texas rural communities are a vibrant and essential part of our state, comprising more than 3 million people. These communities often lack access to services and resources that their urban neighbors take for granted, including education opportunities, health care, and broadband infrastructure. Nonprofits help bridge these gaps and possess insight and experience to address the unique needs facing Texas rural communities.

The Texas Rural Nonprofit Network fosters networking, collaboration, community development, and resource sharing among nonprofits to support rural communities. OneStar partners with Resilia, a social impact technology organization, to offer rural nonprofits hands-on tools and templates, one-on-one coaching, and valuable networking and funding opportunities. These benefits will strengthen their volunteer recruitment and engagement strategies.

Texas Rural Nonprofit Network launched its pilot year in fall 2022.
