How can you use the power of service to make a greater impact?
Build your human capital—people power—with an AmeriCorps program that expands the reach and impact of your organization in Texas.
AmeriCorps Texas provides funding to support the development and operations of programs that engage individuals in direct service to address critical needs across Texas.
AmeriCorps Texas programs must be able to support the equivalent of 10 full-time AmeriCorps members in the first year of operation. The grant award amount is based on the number of AmeriCorps members serving in the organization.
These grant opportunities are federal funds and require matching funds.
See available grant opportunities below.
Current AmeriCorps Texas programs applying for continuation or recompete and new organizations proposing to enroll AmeriCorps members in September 2026 should apply for 2026-2027 AmeriCorps Texas funding.
Planning Grant funding opportunity is available to provide financial support to organizations to develop an AmeriCorps program for 2027-2028. A planning grant cannot be used to support AmeriCorps members.
Coordinate with us to maximize your impact in Texas through your national AmeriCorps program.
Organizations that plan to place AmeriCorps members in Texas and operate in multiple states and are applying for AmeriCorps National Direct funding are required to consult with OneStar, as directed in the National Community Service Act. We are always excited to learn of organizations interested in placing AmeriCorps members in our state!
OneStar joins all 52 states and territorial service commissions in partnering with America’s Service Commissions in a single consultation process.
Expand your organization’s capacity to fight poverty in your community.
OneStar AmeriCorps VISTA Project places skilled individuals with a diverse range of backgrounds at nonprofits and agencies throughout the state of Texas. AmeriCorps VISTA members serve full-time for one year on capacity-building projects to advance your organization’s anti-poverty mission.
We accept applications from organizations to host AmeriCorps VISTA members year round on a rolling basis. Organizations contribute a host site fee of $9,200 per AmeriCorps VISTA member.

OneStar believes that national service can accelerate the impact of any organization.
