Donate now to support the families and communities affected by the Panhandle and South Plains wildfires in February 2024. The Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund is administered locally by Amarillo Area Foundation.

The Amarillo Independent School District will have 10 Half-Time and 45 Reduced Half-Time AmeriCorps members who will provide direct tutoring services in reading literacy and an academically-based after school program targeted to at-risk students in thirteen district elementary schools in Amarillo, Texas. AmeriCorps members will be responsible for 315 student participants to show progress toward grade-level improvement in literacy skills.
