The American YouthWorks will have 10 AmeriCorps members who will serve as Community Health Workers in Title 1 Public Schools. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for 750 individuals reporting increased health knowledge, 500 individuals reporting a change in behavior or intent to change behavior to improve their health, and 250 individuals reporting improved access to medical care. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will not leverage any volunteers. The AmeriCorps investment will be matched with $185,472, $85,472 in public funding and $100,000 in private funding.
