The Austin Achieve Public Schools (AAPS) will have 20 AmeriCorps members who will will serve as reading specialists for AAPS Elementary, Middle, and High School students in Austin and Pflugerville, Texas. At the end of the third program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for improved reading skills among AAPS students as evidenced by performance on Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Intervention and Dibels tests. The AmeriCorps investment will be matched with $181,995, $181,895 in public funding and $0 in private funding.
