Breakthrough AmeriCorps members serve in Austin, Del Valle, Manor, Houston, and Fort Worth teaching courses in summer programs in, and delivering advising services and year-round academic programming for Breakthrough students in grades 6-12 and college. AmeriCorps members will increase the number of students who meet academic milestones and enroll in college. In addition, AmeriCorps members will leverage 200 volunteers, who will be engaged in tutoring, mentoring, and supporting Breakthrough students year-round.
