About the Program

CitySquare proposes to have 340 AmeriCorps members who will increase social emotional health, increase food security, and improve stability for economically-disadvantaged individuals in Dallas County, Tarrant County, and Lamar County, Texas. At the end of the program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for increased capacity of 39 host sites, improved social emotional skills for 300 students enrolled in out-of-school time programming, and distribution of 4 million pounds of food to food insecure individuals and children. In addition, the AmeriCorps members will leverage 900 volunteers who will be engaged in food security activities. As a multi-focused intermediary (MFI), CitySquare AmeriCorps (CSAC) will focus on the CNCS focus area(s) of Education, Healthy Futures, and Economic Opportunity. The CNCS investment of $2,031,724 will be matched with $2,031,855; $929,500 of in-kind donations and $1,102,355 in private funding.
