College Advising Corps

About the Program

College Advising Corps proposes to have 124 AmeriCorps members who will provide college advising to low-income, first-generation, underrepresented students in 124 underserved high schools across Texas. At the end of the program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for increasing the college enrollment rates among economically disadvantaged youth at the schools served. This program will focus on the AmeriCorps focus area of Education. The AmeriCorps investment of $2,678,400 will be match with $ $4,529,615.42, $2,329,00 in public funding and $2,200,615.42 in private funding.
