Equal Heart

About the Program

Equal Heart will have 555 AmeriCorps members who will provide services across all AmeriCorps focus areas to meet local needs in highly vulnerable communities throughout Texas. At the end of the first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for improving the lives of 40,000 Texans across a range of outcomes: decreasing hunger, improving children’s socio-emotional health, supporting single mothers, reclaiming green space, providing ESL classes, assisting the unhoused, and supporting foster youth. In addition, the AmeriCorps Members will leverage approximately 500 volunteers to deliver these services alongside the AmeriCorps Members.
