Wed, Jul 29, 2026 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm CDT

This webinar will explore the science of stress and burnout, including how the brain and nervous system respond to stress and why these responses are normal and adaptive. Participants will examine common barriers to effective self‑care in high‑stress work environments and learn practical, skills‑based strategies to address them. The session will also highlight evidence‑based, personalized approaches to self‑care that support resilience, reduce burnout, and sustain professional effectiveness. Learning Objectives:

  1. Explain the stress response cycle and identify how understanding the body’s physiological and emotional reactions to stress can inform more compassionate awareness of oneself and others.
  2. Identify and implement personal self-care strategies by recognizing common barriers and applying practical approaches to overcome those barriers.
  3. Develop a personalized self-care plan that integrates four specific approaches to defend against burnout.
